In my eyes, they were smart, fashion savvy, classy, sophisticated, and funny. And I was lucky enough to call these girls, friends. They were adored by other girls, somewhat even idolized. In high school I was surrounded by some of the most beautiful girls I'd ever seen in my life. If we can't teach them to love themselves as they are, how are they going to love anyone else?
But I am opposed to the ideals and falsified definitions we are teaching our generation.

I've never been opposed to a half naked woman on the TV screen, I am a bro of all things. We are openly telling our generation of girls that in order to be perfect, you must become something that you are not. After many hours photo shopping her images, they are published in the December edition of Seventeen Magazine. A model dyes her hair, puts in contacts, bleaches her teeth, and we label her as "perfect". I believe our generation has a skewed view on what we define as perfect. What is it about these girls that makes the average girl want to slit her wrists and become bulimic? Is it safe to say that God favored these girls that much more than anyone else? No. It's obvious I'm referencing the world renound Victoria's Secret Swim Suit Models here. The last image we see before the screen goes black is that of her angel wings. We watch as she strolls back down the runway.
As she turns her back to the frozen crowd and muted cheers, time speeds up and the crowd becomes alive with noise. Everything." She blows a kiss and seductively winks her eye.
